The Joan Ganz Cooney and LIFE Centers has published The new coviewing: Designing for learning through joint media engagement. There are interactive desktop and iPad versions available for free download at the Joan Ganz Cooney Center’s website.

Note that Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to take advantage of the interactive features of the report (the Preview application on Mac OS does not work).

Article: Co-playing video games good for teen girls

A February 2011 study published in the Journal of Adolescent Health found behavioral and mental health gains for girls aged 11-16 who played video games with a parent.

The Wall Street Journal published a thoughtful piece reflecting on the findings of the study.
